Available Positions:

We have full time openings for Drivers. Qualified drivers will safely deliver and assist passengers to and from

medical (non limited to) appointments on time. No CDL required. PT work may be available. Must be able to

work varying shift(s) per week and be available.

 Must be at least 23 years old

 Must have reliable transportation (to report to work).

 Must have a valid driver's license.

 No prior DL suspension for moving violations

 Be authorized to work in the United States.

 Must be courteous, punctual, and professional and team oriented.

 Benefit offerings for eligible employees include Accident, Disability, Life, Dental, and others (employee

paid)

 SIMPLE IRA offered to eligible employees after one year.

 Increases based on performance.

Driver Requirements for Acorn Care Transport

 All Candidates must be professional, courteous, dependable, and punctual (on-time).

 Must be flexible. Work hours vary. Full Time Position. M-F, Rotating Saturdays.

 Drivers must be able to successfully pass the following test/screenings initially and ongoing:

o Criminal Background check - We only hire applicants with clean criminal back-round screening.

o 10 panel Drug Test - upon hiring and random. This is a Drug Free Workplace

o 7 year Motor vehicle check - NOTE: *If you have had a suspended license due to a moving violation

or more than 2 moving violations, you need not apply due to MCSC Liability Insurance Co.

 3 Company supplied Online Classes:

o HIPAA - protecting the confidentiality and security of personal healthcare information

o Defensive Driving

o P.A.S.S Basic (part 1) - Passenger Assistance Safety and Service

o P.A.S.S class (part 2) hands on wheelchair securement and safety training.

o First aid / CPR

 Must obtain a SC DOT (physical) card from a physician

 Orientation

Training:

 Working alongside a senior driver:

o Mapping out schedules for the next day.

o Confirming all appointments with riders prior to beginning route (day before).

o Assisting with properly and safely loading and unloading members, some with special

equipment, in vehicles assuring all are buckled up and secured at all times.

o Learning to fill out all required paperwork/using electronic devices properly assuring its accuracy

and validity.

o Upkeep Vehicle cleanliness and Other General information

 Employees will generally be working in the following areas but not limited to:

 The Charleston Area of South Carolina

 Acorn Care Transport supplies work shirts and ID badges. Candidates must wear Black, Grey, or khakis pants. NO JEANS.
